Congressman Price Announces Hacakthon for High School Students

Congressman David Price invites students high school-age and younger to participate in the 4th Annual Congressional App Challenge.

To participate students can follow the steps below: 

  1. Sign up at
  2. Create an App individually, or with a team of up to 4.
  3. Submit your idea, a 1-3 minute video, and answers to questions by noon on Wed. Nov 1, 2017. (No source code required!)

To assist students in the App creation process, Congressman Price will be hosting a Hackathon on Saturday, October 14from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Fidelity Investments in Research Triangle Park.  It is a free event for all students high school age and below. Students can RSVP for the Hackathon here!

Finalists will be invited to attend a pitch competition at the Awards Ceremony from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, November 16 at North Carolina State University’s Friday Institute. Winners will have their app displayed in the Capitol Building and the opportunity to attend the #HouseOfCode showcase on Capitol Hill in the Spring of 2017.
